The association seeks to do this through providing members of the community with a platform to develop, promote and expand initiatives in education, the arts, community services and religious affairs. The proposed “ Hindu Cultural and Education Centre ” would be the physical abode of the GCHCA where Hindu cultural activities such as classical literature, music, dance and classical language & spiritual education will be nurtured. GCHCA Navaratri Festival is an annual cultural event organised by the association. The Navarathri Festival this year will consist of Yagna, Bhajan and Songs in outdoor with modifications due to COVID restrictions. Special Yagna (Holy fire ritual) will be held for world’s well being, protection and harmony! Navaratri is a festival of worship, dance and music which is celebrated over a period of nine nights to honour the three main goddesses of Hinduism – Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi. It is considered the most auspicious period in the Hindu calendar and is celebrated by Hindu communities from all regions of the Indian Sub-Continent. Date: 24th of October 2020 (Saturday) Time: 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (2 hour program). Venue: GCHCA land ( 15 Byth Street, Arundel QLD 4214, Gold Coast ) Registration is essential to attend in person (or virtual) via Eventbrite . • We request you to practice social distancing during the event • Please stay at home if unwell or have a cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue or shortness of breath. Gold Coast International University Students Help Tender Invitation for Building Construction The Gold Coast Hindu Cultural Association (GCHCA) is calling for tender submissions for the constructions of Community Square and Multipurpose Hall proposed Education and Cultural Precinct at the Byth Street, Arundel, QLD 4214.
